Abdiel's New Host : A Babylon Omega Short

The following I wrote about 18 or so months ago, give or take... and some have been saying I should share it with others. This is a little short I used to wrap my head around some things that the rest of us have been looking at for a possible RPG setting we're going to call Babylon Omega (tm), a cyberpunkish far future setting. 

I do want to thank my cohorts in TSP, M. Gray, G. Gray and M. Wilson for breaking out the red pens, even if virtually to help me out.

Fate on the Flat Track: Team Construction (Part 2)

Part 1 of Team Construction, we setup the team itself: approaches, concept, trouble, team stunt, refresh, etc.

Now we need to setup the Skater Cards... Yup, Skater Cards.

I’ve taken the liberty to also do a full sheet for possible printing. Only thing I will apologize on is possible sizes. If the playmat is printed in A4 paper, these might work. Feel free to modify them or do your own to make them work out.

Fate on the Flat Track: Team Construction (Part 1)

Okay, lets get to making teams!

 

These are the characters in Fate on the Flat Track. Although to simulate a multiple person ‘team’ you’re actually making 14 or so characters to play on ONE team.

 

Here are some simple rules for why things are the way they are here for for simulating Roller Derby.

 

Okay, working on some sample stunts, since this will be a stunt heavy game, and that might take a day or two working with my Derby Girl friends to get a good sample listing for those who might not be familiar with it.

 

So going to start off today's post with some terms that would be needed to understand some of the stuff.  We'll do these as simple explanations and definitions.

Fate on the Flat Track: The Begining

Well my first project is going to not be easy.  Although I'll admit to having some epiphany brain actions going as of late in between working on things for Into the Maelstrom.

 

A bit of background on it first.

 

  1. I wanted to work with Fate (either Fate Accelerated Edition of Fate Core) for it.

  2. I wanted to do something I'd not seen online yet.

Well... something I've been wanting to get started has been a blog on roleplaying games, game design, and everything along those lines. Maybe even some reviews and comments, and maybe a bit of live of the Pleasantly Malevolent one.

 

So going to get it started here, got some ideas brewing and I've got a few things that I'm going to get started on here.

These of course will be linked to TaleSmith Productions(tm) in some way, I mean I am the head of TSP. But when it comes down to it, this'll be just as separate as well.

 

First things first, I'll be starting with the design of something that I've been mulling over for a bit, something I'm calling Fate on the Flat Track.

I'm sure some of you will figure out what that one will be a part of.
